Tourists to see Naadam by USD 25

One of the most interesting events of tourists is Mongolian National Holiday Naadam, which occurs on July 11-13 every year.

2500 tourists saw the Naadam last year and currently, more than 500 have given their orders through tour operators to see it.

The Naadam’s ticket reservation is running until July 7, 2009. Per ticket price is USD 25 for foreign tourists.
In connection with it, the UB Tourism Office plans to organize “Opening Mongol” measure for the third year. This measure aims to publicize national costumes, custom and culture.

The Naadam is a traditional type of festival in Mongolia. The festival is also locally termed "eriin gurvan naadam" or "the three games of men". The games are Mongolian wrestling, horse racing and archery and are held throughout the country during the midsummer holidays.

Mongolian new president

The Fourth President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj has taken his oat at the Parliament. After taking the oath, he showed a respect to the National Flag. A former President N.Enkhbayar handed over the state seal to his successor Ts.Elbegdorj and then the new Presidential term has begun to implement.Elbegdorj was born into a herding family in Zereg sum, Khovd on March 30, 1963. His father, M. Tsakhia, was a veteran of Mongolia's border conflict with Manchuguo that resulted in the 1939 Battle of Khalkhyn Gol.
Elbegdorj, as the head of the Democratic party, co-led the Democratic Union Coalition to its historic victory in the 1996 parliamentary elections. He served as the Majority Leader of the Parliament from 1996 to 2000 and as the Vice Speaker of the Parliament from 1996 to 1998.
He worked as the Prime Minister of Mongolia twice in 1998 and 2004-2006
